Child Protection Training Event – Tampa, FL

This training event will be offered at TWO separate times on Sept. 9. Registrants may choose to attend either the 9:45 to 11 a.m. session or 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. session.

Join us to learn more about abuse and child protection for ministry leaders. We believe that child protection is important for ministry leaders because every person is created in the image of God. Furthermore, we believe that child protection is a matter of Great Commission significance and biblical stewardship.

This child protection workshop will allow pastors and ministry leaders to learn the basics of child protection and tap into several resources to help your ministry protect the least of these. Start by using these free assessment resources provided by ECAP to see how your Child Protection Program measures up to our standards.

Objectives:

• Raise awareness for abuse prevention and child protection 
• Provide ministry leaders with resources to assist them in prevention 
• Connect ECAP with area churches

Presenters:

Jeff Dalrymple is an organizational leader whose leadership experience includes roles in public safety, higher education, non-governmental organizations, and parachurch ministry. Jeff served as a vice president at Southern Seminary in Louisville from 2008-2016. He is an elder at Sunrise Community Church (EFCA), owner of Lumino Global Consulting and Coaching, and is the executive director of ECAP. In addition to implementing child protection programs at several ministries, his experience includes team building, development/fundraising, hospitality, international relations, strategic planning, and revitalization.

Jesse Maynor joined ECAP in 2022 after serving as an Officer in the U.S. Navy for 25 years in a variety of leadership, education, and staff assignments. His role as accreditation program director with ECAP is focused on completing the organizational processes and structures necessary to begin granting accreditation to Charter Member organizations, as well as assisting Charter Member Candidates’ completion of initial accreditation. He resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife and children.
