Child Safety Program Initial Assessment

ECAP is offering an independent and confidential review of your protective measures and policies.

WHAT IS AN INITIAL ASSESSMENT?

ECAP staff will assess your current Child Safety Program, or whatever relevant measures you have in place, against the current ECAP Standards.

You will receive an unbiased, written, confidential, and itemized assessment of where your current child safety measures appear to comply, and where they fall short of compliance.*

HOW CAN WE USE THE ASSESSMENT?

How you use this report is up to you! You will receive a copy of your assessment, and you may use it to identify the next steps your organization needs to take to make your ministry safe for kids.

You may use it to: (1) determine where to allocate limited resources, or (2) plan your efforts to develop an ECAP-compliant Child Safety Program, or (3) determine whether pursuing ECAP accreditation would be a benefit to your ministry.

HOW CAN WE GET STARTED?

To complete this assessment, ECAP will need your current documents that represent the child safety measures in place. All your documents will be stored securely in our Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage. You will receive the results of your assessment within two weeks of your document submission.

The Initial Assessment Fee will be $300 for most average-sized ministries. If your organization operates in multiple states, has multiple campuses, or has multiple entities, contact us for a quote.**

Questions? Contact the Accreditation Director.

*Our Accreditation Director’s assessment of compliance does not guarantee that accreditation will be awarded. The initial assessment is not as comprehensive as the validation process done by our independent auditors.

**If you order an Initial Assessment when you apply as a Member Ministry, your Assessment Fee is discounted to $250 from $300. (Application Fee: $325 + $250 Assessment Fee).
