We believe that abuse prevention is a matter of biblical stewardship and of Great Commission importance. Learn basic prevention measures and available resources for safeguarding children and the vulnerable during this panel discussion. Also join us to learn how to respond when reports of an allegation come about.

Panel Moderator: Nathan Schneider – Lead Catalyst, Next Generation Ministries
Nathan is a leader in the field of youth and collegiate ministry, providing valuable guidance to churches and students throughout Florida. As lead catalyst of Next Gen Ministries at the Florida Baptist Convention and a former student pastor, Nathan is uniquely positioned to lead young adults toward developing life-changing spiritual disciplines.
Amber Privett – Licensed trauma and abuse therapist
Amber is a faithful follower of Christ and a licensed clinical social worker, who helps abuse survivors navigate their stories and find healing. She owns Amber Privett Counseling and serves clients all over the state of Florida. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in numerous initiatives aimed at child abuse prevention, anti-trafficking efforts, and family preservation. She is a BCM graduate and currently serves on the advisory council for Safe Families for Children’s Florida and Tampa efforts, and she currently calls Tampa home. Amber desires that the church be a space where abuse survivors can experience the comfort, love, and peace of God.
Jeff Dalrymple – Executive director for ECAP
Jeff is an organizational leader whose leadership experience includes roles in public safety, higher education, non-governmental organizations, and parachurch ministry. Jeff served as a vice president at Southern Seminary in Louisville from 2008-2016. He is an elder at Sunrise Community Church (EFCA) and owner of Lumino Global Consulting and Coaching. In addition to implementing child protection programs at several ministries, his experience includes team building, development/fundraising, hospitality, international relations, strategic planning, and revitalization. Jeff enjoys reading, exploring, and spending time with his wife Kristil and kids, JJ, Kassie, Katherine, and Kylie.
Keith Thompson – Lead Pastor & Elder, First Baptist Church of Riverview
Pastor Keith joined the First Riverview pastoral team in February 2022 as the lead pastor. Originally from South Carolina, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (minor in Computer Science) from Clemson University and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He spent 20 years in software development before being called into full-time ministry, and has more than 14 years of pastoral experience. After serving for over 8 years as a pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Darlington, SC, Pastor Keith and his family moved to the Riverview area to serve as the lead pastor at First Riverview. He and his wife, Cyndi, have four daughters, Rylie, Haley, Cassidy, and Courtney.
