Join the ECAP Community and get the support you need to establish an effective Child Protection Program.
The Evangelical Council for Abuse Prevention was created in 2019 to provide awareness, accreditation, and resources in order to help Christian organizations that serve kids protect the vulnerable in ministry.
Over several years, ECAP developed a set of Child Safety Standards which were drafted by a committee of professionals and experts in the field of risk management and abuse prevention, as well as a number of frontline practitioners who serve children. The standards were then reviewed by a team of attorneys with related professional experience.
These standards now serve as the basis for our Accreditation Program, which will engage Christian ministries in a process of accreditation and renewal. Accreditation is an independent process of compliance verification which determines if an organization meets defined standards. ECAP awards accreditation to ministries that demonstrate compliance to Child Safety Standards through an assessment and audit process.
ECAP is partnering with Great Commission Collective churches to help them make their ministries safe for kids.
We are offering a 20% discount to Great Commission Collective churches on annual membership rates.
