Amber Privett, a specialist in trauma therapy, will join us on Meet the Experts as we explore the crucial role of the church and ministry in supporting survivors of sexual abuse. In this session, we’ll delve into practical strategies and compassionate approaches for creating safe spaces within our churches. In supporting survivors we want them to feel heard, validated, and supported in their healing journey in their churches. Drawing from both psychological expertise and Christian principles, we’ll discuss the importance of trauma-informed care, boundaries, confidentiality, and the power of empathy in fostering a culture of healing and restoration. This webinar offers valuable guidance for ministering to survivors of sexual abuse and fostering a compassionate, understanding, and hopeful community. Whether you’re a pastor, a volunteer, or a concerned member of the Body, there is something for you to learn. Please join us for this important discussion!
