SUMMARY:Child Protection in California: AB506
DESCRIPTION:Child protection for child-youth serving organizations in California is unique\, thanks to recent state legislation that requires organizations to meet requirements in screening\, training\, and operations. AB506 is the law now requiring organizations to conform to certain measures related to prevention\, reporting\, and response. \n\n\n\nChurch HR Network and ECAP are partnering together in order to equip child-youth serving organizations in California to be aware of this legislation and to help establish systems and processes that help meet compliance. This introductory level workshop is designed to teach participants the basics of child protection and AB506. Following the workshop\, you will be connected to additional resources and support for developing an effective and compliant child protection plan. \n\n\n\nLearn more from Ken Klopman with Church HR Network and Jeff Dalrymple from Evangelical Council for Abuse Prevention. Awareness and resources are critical next steps to keeping kids safe – not just to comply with California state law but also to ensure that kids can grow and flourish in your ministry programs.”  \n\n\n\n*You will receive a link to the event in your registration confirmation. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCheck out ECAP’s other resources for Child Protection in California here. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPresenters:  \n\n\n\n  \n\n\nKen Klopman is the Director of Safety and Security for Church HR Network\, Ken retired as a police sergeant from the Oxnard Police Department after 37 years in public service.
